Fijnbosch Cottage is situated in Stormsrivier Village, which acts as the official Adventure Capital and main gateway to the surrounding Tsitsikamma section of the Garden Route National Park. The cottage itself is located in a quiet area, often described as being near the edge of the indigenous forest, offering mountain views and a tranquil retreat from the N2 highway. You are within a 5-minute walk of key adventure centres like the Tsitsikamma Canopy Tour base, and the village provides easy access to restaurants, an arts & crafts centre, and the starting points for several forest hiking and mountain biking trails.
The area is famous for its concentration of both intense adrenaline and scenic eco-activities. Just a short drive away is the Storms River Mouth Rest Camp, where you can walk the trail to the iconic Suspension Bridge, kayak or lilo up the river gorge, and embark on coastal hikes like the popular Waterfall Trail. For thrill-seekers, the Bloukrans Bridge, the world's highest commercial bridge bungee jump, is only about a 20-minute drive away to the east. The Tsitsikamma area provides a unique convergence of ancient indigenous forests, rugged coastlines, and pristine marine reserves, making it an essential destination on the Garden Route.
