Love Story Guest House
***Please note that we are renovating until September 2025*** Love Story Guest House offers guest rooms and is located in the hamlet of Paul Roux, in the Free State. The guesthouse offers a blend of old-world charm with fresh, modern touches amongst the peaceful and tranquil surroundings. This rustic country-style guesthouse consists of 3 en-suite guest rooms. The room contains a queen or double-size bed and an en-suite bathroom, one offers a bathtub, whilst the others offer a shower only. The rooms feature exposed sandstone details and include complimentary toiletries and an electric blanket. Our communal kitchen is the heart of the home. All guests are welcome to make use of the kitchen, which consists of an oven gas cooker, microwave, basin, kettle, as well as cutlery and crockery. Relax on the large north-facing patio or the south-facing terrace. On a cold winter's evening, guests can enjoy the cosiness and warmth of the fireplace in the shared lounge. Guests can escape the hustle of the city and immerse themselves in the nature that surrounds the house, exploring the garden, which boasts apple and pomegranate fruit trees. Guests are allowed to pick and enjoy the ripe harvest during the season. The guesthouse also has an outdoor fireplace, braai/barbeque facilities, a picnic area, a sun terrace, and a large garden for all your pets to enjoy. Pink Tricycle Paul Roux is a cosy restaurant located just 900 meters from the Love Story Guest House. For runners and walkers, the Pine Forest, Paul Roux 5 km parkrun takes place every Saturday. It is a trail path, and the start and end points are at the picnic spot in the Pine Forest above Reservoir Road. Paul Roux is a small picturesque town and is approximately a 1-hour drive from the artist and adventure seekers' town of Clarens, as well as 91.5 km from the renowned Golden Gate Highlands National Park. The Love Story Guest House is pet-friendly if you make arrangements before your arrival. You are welcome to bring your pets, as long as they do not jump on our furniture and bedding. They will enjoy our big garden. Please bring pet beds so that your pets feel at home. Wolhuterskop Game and Nature Reserve and Dihlabeng Mall in Bethlehem are 40 km away from the property.
