Magnifica Farm is located in the southern Cederberg on Middelberg Pass outside Citrusdal. Our five uniquely designed cottages offer breathtaking views. Our serene setting invites guests to unwind, disconnect from the bustle of everyday life and reconnect with the beauty of nature. Grysklip High Mountain Stone Cottage is built against a rock face, which is a dramatic back wall for the interior. All the stone used for the walls was collected nearby, so the cottage disappeared into the theatre of the rocks and landscape. The views are spectacular in every direction, and the interior is warm and cosy with wooden floors and Cape furniture and colourful Himalayan textiles. The kitchenette has a 2-plate stove, fridge, and coffee and tea-making facilities. The bathroom has a dramatic shower set against the rock face, and there is a wonderful secluded outdoor bath. The living room has a fireplace and the patio offers outdoor seating and mountain views. Klipkop High Mountain Stone Cottage is built of rock between two boulders. The interior is very comfortably furnished with cedar-clad walls and cedar floors, two comfortable twin beds, a fireplace, a kitchenette, and a bathroom clad in rock with sliding doors opening onto the landscape. The cottage faces north with a view of Sneeuberg. There is a large sliding door opening onto the patio with a retractable awning and a braai to enjoy the extraordinary views in every direction. Brakdak High Mountain Stone Cottage is the highest cottage, at 1200 m altitude, with spectacular views of the Koue Bokkeveld and the Cederberg. It is set against a mountain peak surrounded by pristine Cape Flora. A place of retreat and deep silence. The cottage has 2 wooden twin beds with good mattresses and linen. The bathroom has an indoor shower and there is also an outdoor double bath on the verandah. There is a hotbox fireplace in the corner for the cold winter nights and plenty of wood. The kitchenette has a small fridge and two hot plates. There is also a back braai room and sun room with a built-in braai, table and chairs, and a bed. A rock pool is about 10 minutes from the cottage, and a spring with a picnic spot is about a 50-minute walk down a steep jeep track. Rust en Vrede means rest and peace in Afrikaans, which describes the experience of staying in these two stone cottages. They are 20 m apart and they are only offered as a pair and have exclusive use of a rock pool. Each cottage has twin beds and a spectacular rock bathroom with an indoor shower and a pair of outside baths. The kitchenettes are fully equipped and each cottage has its own indoor fireplace and braai on the covered patio. Uitsig Stone Cottage is set within huge weathered grey rocks, facing east toward the high peaks of the southern Cederberg. It has spectacular views in every direction. The cottage has twin beds, an indoor shower, and an outside bath set among the rocks. The kitchenette is fully equipped and the living room has a fireplace. The patio has outdoor seating and a BBQ/Braai. There are wonderful walks and hikes, and the fountain with a thatched picnic deck is about a 40-minute walk into the valley. All our units are equipped with solar power, gas geysers, and gas cooking facilities, ensuring an eco-friendly and comfortable stay. We kindly ask that no dogs be brought along. Guests will enjoy good cell phone reception throughout the property. To enhance your experience, one bag of braai wood is supplied for your convenience.
