Makapa Lodge
Makapa Lodge is nestled against the Roodeberg mountain range in the Fish Hoek/Noordhoek valley on Cape Town's southern peninsual. The Lodge borders SANParks on 3 sides with beautiful views spanning the Noordhoek Amphitheater, the long wide sandy beach of Noordhoek, Chapman's Peak and the back of the Table Mountain range. With a wildlife corridor on our doorstep you experience a sense of untouched wilderness with a menagerie of birdlife and wild animals that include Mongoose, wild Tortoise, Porcupine, Cape Grysbok, Cape Eagle Owl as well as a troop of Chacma Baboons. A luxury guesthouse offering bed & breakfast accommodation in our spacious suites (bedroom, lounge & bathroom where you have the choice of poolside or garden accommodation. Included in your accommodation is a mouth watering breakfast prepared for you personally by your hosts Jimmy and Vivienne. Makapa Lodge is centrally located for Cape Point, the Boulders Beach Penguin colony, Kirstenbosch Gardens, historic Simons Town, Chapmans Peak Drive, Kalk Bay's working fishing village and the Constantia wine route. Ten minutes drive from several fine beaches and hiking routes, yet only 35-40 minutes from central Cape Town, the V&A Waterfront and Table Mountain Cable Way. We offer hiking routes in the local area as well as half day or full day tours with out guide Kurt where you can explore what Cape Town has to offer. We have an abundance of good restaurants within a 10 minute drive including but not limited to the Noordhoek Farm Village and The Red Herring.
