Outeniqua Mountain Lodge

We pride ourselves in being green; providing our own electricity and water from natural resources, as well as effluent treatment, making us independent from the national power grid and other municipal services. Our main farming activity is the growth of rainbow and brown trout and organic pecan nuts. At Outeniqua Trout Lodge, we pride ourselves on participating in responsible sustainable tourism. The ever-changing mountains form the backdrop to this picturesque farm. It is a perfect retreat; a place where the "Absolute Peace" will restore weary souls, and the only sounds are bird songs and the cry of the Fish Eagle. The lodge section of the farm is separate from the growing and farming area and is a secure peaceful environment. Guests are welcome to explore the farm on foot or learn more about our responsible sustainable farming and how we generate our own electricity with hydro and solar power.
