Area Info
Calitzdorp is a typical tiny Karoo town located on Route 62, approximately half the way to Port Elizabeth and four hours' drive from Cape Town. The genuine Klein Karoo nature of Calitzdorp is one of the many reasons it is famous in and of itself. In the Karoo, where time is slower and the scenery is more expansive, the little town is home to several charming lodges, guest farms, and bed and breakfasts.
