Riverview is nestled in the Kromdraai Conservation area, boasting stunning views of the Zwartkop Mountains and surrounding hills. With the Crocodile River just metres away, our guests can immerse themselves in the unspoilt nature, vibrant birdlife, and tranquil atmosphere for which we are renowned. Located less than 30 minutes from Johannesburg, an hour’s drive from Pretoria, and 20 minutes from Lanseria, Riverview is the perfect retreat for families and friends to enjoy quality time together. Our romantic setting is ideal for treating that special someone in your life, with options for couples' treatments and private picnics at our scenic picnic spots overlooking the river. The Riverview Spa offers a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with a friend, indulge in some mother-and-daughter time, or enjoy some well-deserved me-time. Accommodation is provided in comfortably furnished chalets, each featuring a queen-size bed, an en-suite bathroom, a lounge area with a TV offering selected DStv channels, and a kitchenette equipped with a bar fridge, microwave, and kettle. Our Rooms 1 and 7 consist of just a bedroom and bathroom, with a tea and coffee tray, a small bar fridge, and a microwave. Chalet 1 includes a dining table both inside and in the garden, while Chalet 7 has a dining table solely on the veranda. Our Riverview 3-bedroom Self-catering Villa is now available for family outings and groups exploring the charming Cradle area, or for those simply seeking to create memories around the boma fire while enjoying nature. Chalet 3 can be booked together with the Villa to accommodate 8 guests sharing. For relaxation, guests can book single spa treatments or half and full-day spa packages, ranging from 4 to 6-hour sessions with various treatments. Please book in advance to avoid disappointment. Breakfast is served from 08:30 to 10:00, with other delightful lunch options available in the coffee shop. Dinners can be enjoyed in the comfort of your chalet and must be pre-booked the day before. Many guests enjoy dining out in the evenings, and we recommend the following restaurants: 26D South Bush Boho Hotel (3 km away), Cardoso's Deck and Dam (5 km away), and various options at the Silver Star Casino (12 km away). Please note that all additional activities and restaurant bookings are excluded from our rates; only bed and breakfast is included. Own transport is essential. Please note: on Mondays, we only offer a takeaway continental breakfast included in your stay. Our 16- guests conference room is also now available for private Conference/Team building/Retreat sessions.

Area Info

Muldersdrift, in the Gauteng Province of South Africa, is a picturesque rural area situated 27 km north-west of Johannesburg, between Johannesburg and the Magaliesberg mountain range.

Cradle Moon Conservancy is made up of the farms of Zwartkop and Driefontein incorporating Cradle Moon Lakeside Game Lodge (the old Heia Safari Ranch), Ekudeni, Eduzani, Bell Gables, Aloe Ridge, Riverview Spa, Glenburn Lodge and Kloofzicht. This makes up an area of around 1600 hectares with rhino, leopard, eland, kudu, red hartebeest, black wildebeest, blue wildebeest, zebra, duiker, impala, springbuck, blesbuck, brown hyena, jackal and aardwolf.
