Area Info
Scarborough, nestled on the Atlantic Seaboard just beyond Kommetjie, is a serene conservation village where nature and tranquillity reign supreme. Tucked between the rugged slopes of Slangkop and Red Hill and overlooking the dramatic Atlantic coastline, this coastal gem has maintained its laid-back charm despite a recent property boom. With its scattered beach houses, artistic community, and proximity to the Cape Point Nature Reserve, Scarborough remains blissfully untouched by urban sprawl. A haven for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts, it offers some of the peninsula's best surfing, fishing, bodyboarding, kite surfing, and sunset beach walks. While amenities are minimal—a few quaint restaurants and a local shop—larger towns like Simon’s Town, Noordhoek, and Fish Hoek are just a short scenic drive away, offering the perfect balance between remote escape and convenience.
