Being an integral part of the Southbroom village, the course boasts a rare South African layout with palm trees and tropical foliage. Only a stone's throw away from the Indian Ocean, the Southbroom Golf Club affords golfers’ remarkable views of spotless beaches. Each of the 18-holes has its own unique feature and ability to test the skill of even the most accomplished golfer.
Southbroom is also home to the magnificent Frederika Nature Reserve. This reserve encompasses nearly 8 hectares of established dune forests as well as lush indigenous forests. It is regarded as extremely fragile in terms of the complex eco-system. This priceless strip of land was donated by the late Leo Dreissen, shortly before his death in 1977 to the S.A. Nature Conservation.
