Sunset Lodge & Safaris, nestled near Orpen Gate in Hoedspruit, warmly welcomes you to enjoy Dinner, Bed & Breakfast accommodation alongside a variety of bush activities such as game drives, bush walks, and bush picnics. Our mission is to deliver the finest Kruger Park Safari holiday experience, prioritising the needs of our guests and assisting with their itineraries. Please feel free to reach out for more information. Our lodge is perfectly positioned for exploring several tourist attractions, including Kruger National Park, Blyde River Canyon, Tzaneen, and Phalaborwa. Upon arrival, a one-time Conservancy Fee of R165.00 will be charged at the Entrance Gate. Please note that a minimum stay of two nights is required when booking accommodation with us. For your convenience, we have implemented a solar and battery power backup system, ensuring that essential services like lighting and Wi-Fi are always available. As of today, 20th June 2025, we have been off-grid for over a year and are successfully operating the lodge with our Solar & Battery Backup System. We are proud to have achieved our goal of becoming an environmentally friendly lodge.
Area Info
Sunset Lodge & Safaris is located within the serene Guernsey Private Nature Reserve in Limpopo Province, just 40 km from the Orpen Gate of Kruger National Park. Ideally positioned, the lodge is also a short distance from Manyeleti Game Reserve—renowned for Big 5 sightings—and the breathtaking Blyde River Canyon, part of the iconic Panorama Route.
Guests can enjoy enriching day trips to either Kruger National Park or the Blyde River Canyon directly from the lodge. Within the Guernsey Reserve, our game drives highlight plains game and elusive nocturnal wildlife. We also offer guided bush walks, where guests can discover the intricate beauty of the bushveld and gain meaningful insight into the natural world.
