Tucked away on the lush slopes of the Wolkberg and Drakensberg mountains—part of Limpopo’s dramatic Great Escarpment—lies the charming village of Haenertsburg, perfectly positioned along Route 71 between Polokwane and Tzaneen.
This quaint mountain village is home to just around 350 families, with a close-knit community and a peaceful atmosphere that feels worlds away from the city. The surrounding highlands, often referred to simply as "the mountain" by locals, are home to about 2,500 more residents and are known for their misty mornings, generous rainfall, and rich, green landscapes.
