28 on Old Farm

Escape the hustle and bustle in our accommodation, nestled within a quiet, tree-lined suburb slightly off the main tourist path. You’ll still find it conveniently located for exploration — the city centre and airport are both just a 20-minute drive away, while the vibrant V&A Waterfront and scenic Sea Point are within half an hour. Our house is situated in Rondebosch, an established and upmarket suburb whose name literally translates to “Round Bush.” Strategically located between the M3 and M5 motorways, the area offers excellent connectivity while maintaining its leafy residential charm. Rondebosch is renowned for its prestigious educational institutions, including several top schools (some focusing on culinary arts), and provides quick access to the main campus of the University of Cape Town. It is also home to the respected Red Cross Children’s Hospital, adding to the established, community-focused character of the neighbourhood. We offer two charming, self-catering units set within a serene property, sharing a lovely courtyard with a braai area and swimming pool — perfect for a morning coffee or a relaxed evening drink. Each unit features a well-equipped kitchenette, an ensuite bathroom, and a smart TV with Wi-Fi streaming. Stylishly furnished and meticulously maintained, the property offers the comfort and quality of a 3.5-star self-catering retreat — a peaceful, leafy haven ideal for both short stays and longer Cape Town adventures. Your host, Raymond Anderson, is a Canadian who first arrived in South Africa during a world tour many years ago and ended up making it his long-term home when his travel funds ran dry. With a background in banking and finance — and as a published author — Raymond offers guests both a worldly perspective and a warm local welcome. While the units are self-catering, he lives on the property and is on hand to assist with any needs you may have during your stay.
