Klipdrift Sands features a diverse range of accommodation options designed to suit every preference—from elegant, spacious units with private pools and panoramic bushveld views, to authentic bush camp experiences for the more adventurous traveler. Our luxury holiday homes, Acacia (4-sleeper) and Marula (6-sleeper), are privately situated and each includes a private swimming pool, built-in braai area, and covered patio—perfect for a romantic and serene getaway. Acacia offers 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, and an open-plan living and kitchen area. Marula features 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a spacious open-plan living and kitchen area. All luxury units are equipped with Wi-Fi, air conditioning, television and a private swimming pool. The Deluxe Holiday Home accommodates up to 6 guests and includes 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. The master bedroom features a double bed with bushveld views, while the loft room includes 2 single beds and a double bed. This unit has exclusive access to a firepit boma and a luxurious lapa with awesome BBQ facilities and a built-in braai area. The unit has a private swimming pool and is equipped with Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and a TV. Our Luxury Chalets and Comfort Villas sleep up to 4 guests (maximum 3 adults) and include a double bedroom and an open-plan living area with a bunker bed. Each unit features a built-in braai, covered patio, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and a private swimming pool. The Two-Bedroom Cabins for 4 guests offer 2 bedrooms, a bathroom with a walk-in shower, and an open-plan kitchen and living area. These cabins have a private braai area and include Wi-Fi and air conditioning. The cabins share a communal pool. For guests seeking a more rustic experience, our Semi Off-Grid Bush Cabins provide a traditional bush camp atmosphere with the convenience of a fully equipped kitchen and private pool. Ablution facilities are located outside the units. All kitchens are fully equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, induction stove, cutlery, and crockery. Bath towels are provided. Guests can unwind in the pool, enjoy a picnic under the stars, or let children play freely in our safe bushveld area. The lodge also offers hiking trails, braai facilities, koi ponds, and free-roaming wildlife that often visit the units. Secure parking and 24-hour security ensure peace of mind throughout your stay.

Dinokeng Game Reserve is the only Big 5 Game Reserve in Gauteng.

The name Dinokeng is derived from the languages of the baTswana and baPedi people who traditionally inhabited the area. Meaning "a place of rivers", Dinokeng lies in the catchment area of two rivers that flow into the Olifants and Limpopo rivers and on to the Indian Ocean. In African culture, river sources have sacred significance and their confluences are believed to hold healing powers.

The grassland bushveld habitats of Dinokeng support an abundance of indigenous wildlife. The region is home to a range of game including zebra, hyena, giraffe, buffalo and eland across the five provincial nature reserves of Rust de Winter, Mdlala, Mkhombo, Leeuwfontein and Roodeplaat and a number of conservancies. The area will ultimately be restocked with Africa's "Big Five" - elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo and rhinoceros.

Dinokeng is one of South Africa's prime birdwatching areas, and is second only to Ndumo in the St Lucia area in terms of its numbers of bird species, making this a twitcher's paradise! The close proximity of water, grassland and bushveld habitats attract a wide variety of birds in a relatively small area.The Dinokeng Big 5 Game Reserve (DB5) is situated in the north-west quadrant of the Gauteng Province of South Africa. The greater Dinokeng area covers approximately 281 000 ha of rural land, incorporating Roodeplaat, Cullinan, Rayton and open bushveld north of the Moloto Road (R573).

Dinokeng is a Blue IQ initiative established by the Gauteng Provincial Government, with the objective of establishing a premier tourism destination close to urban Gauteng. The project aims to promote economic growth, job creation and social upliftment through conserving and developing the historical, natural and cultural heritage of the area. As a specific destination the Dinokeng Big 5 Game Reserve has been established. There are several self- drive game viewing areas now with access to picnic areas. A conservation fee payable at the entrance to self-drive routes.
