**Shikwari Nature Reserve** Welcome to Shikwari Nature Reserve, a serene escape nestled in the heart of the bush, offering two distinct accommodation experiences to suit your needs. 1. **Shikwari Junior Suites** Experience affordable luxury at our 4-star TGCSA-rated camp, offering a delightful half-board stay. Our six private junior suites, each with its own bathroom, are tucked away in the natural bush, ensuring a sense of privacy and tranquillity. The main area features a comfortable lounge with Premium DSTV, Wi-Fi, and a pool with a breathtaking view. Each suite accommodates up to two adults and two children aged 5–12 years. Please note that there is no capacity for more than this. 2. **Pangolin Rondavels** For a more budget-friendly option, consider our Pangolin Rondavels, a favourite among many of our international guests. These four traditional round thatched rooms provide a cosy and authentic experience. Two rondavels feature a "Bush Bathroom" with an outdoor shower, covered toilet, and basin, while the other two share a separate bathroom and outdoor shower. All beds are adorned with luxurious percale linen and towels are provided. Each rondavel includes a wardrobe, seating area, and tea and coffee trays. Enjoy a hearty full breakfast, with the option for half board. Wi-Fi is accessible at the main area, however, please note there are no TVs or Wi-Fi in the rooms. **Activities and Excursions** Our reserve is free from dangerous game, allowing guests to enjoy peaceful walks. For those seeking adventure, guided game drives with an FGASA guide are available to Kruger Park and other stunning private reserves in the area. While we do not conduct drives on our property, we offer excursions to the Kruger Park, other private reserves, and The Panorama. Activities such as boat trips, quad biking, and ballooning should be booked in advance. Additionally, explore self-drive options like a boat trip, Hoedspruit Reptile Park, Jessica the Hippo, and the Moholoholo Rehabilitation Centre. Our location is also convenient for numerous exciting day trips. **Family-Friendly Accommodation** Children aged 5–12 are welcome to stay with parents at a flat rate per child per night. Teens aged 13–18 are accommodated at 50% of the room rate per night, whether in their own room or sharing with one other adult and/or two younger siblings. This policy applies to both camps. Guests from both camps enjoy meals at the Shikwari Suites main area, with options for half board or bed and breakfast. Shikwari is approx 5-6hr journey from Johannesburg.
A car or a guide & vehicle is necessary to get around.
Transfers to & from the lodge can be arrange.
Either from OR Tambo International Airport or Eastgate Airport (HD or direct from Cape Town to Hoedspruit via Safair.Airlines
The friendly town of Hoedspruit is 30km from the lodge and offers banks & Forex exchange, great restaurants/coffee shops, supermarkets, & clothing, curio & photographic stores.
