Phalaborwa, located in the Mopani District of Limpopo Province, South Africa, is a unique town known for its rich history, vibrant culture, and proximity to natural attractions.

Situated along the western border of the Kruger National Park, Phalaborwa is the only South African town directly adjacent to the park. The town experiences a subtropical climate, often referred to as "the town with two summers," due to its warm temperatures throughout the year. Summers can be particularly hot, with temperatures occasionally reaching up to 50°C (122°F).

Phalaborwa has a rich cultural heritage, with evidence of mining activities dating back to 400 AD. The name "Phalaborwa" means "better than the south" in Sotho, reflecting the area's historical significance and desirability
